Grading: 
This is a Pass / Fail Course. To PASS:
1) attend 4 of 5 of the class sessions for the entire class session; and
2) Complete assignments
CORRECTLY for 4 of 5 of the class sessions.
   All assignments are from the Green/Salkind text above. Typically, you will turn in
   assignments more than once in order to achieve a correct on it. To be correct, the
   assignment needs to be at least 85% correct.

Last day to turn in homework will be Friday April 16.

If you have NOT completed correctly 4 of 5 assignments, BUT
-- have completed correctly MORE THAN 2 of 4 assignments, you will receive an INCOMPLETE.
-- If you have completed correctly 2 or fewer assignments, you will receive an F.  

SPSS Options :
1) Use SPSS in FIU Computer Labs:Location and Hours

2) You can download a demo copy from SPSS for 21 days from

3) Rent  a copy of SPSS Grad Pack for 6 months ($80) from

4) You can purchase SPSS if you wish, but I would not recommend it unless you will be doing your own data analysis soon. Then purchase SPSS Grad Pack  at http://www.journeyed.com/item/SPSS/PASW+Statistics+Graduate+Pack/100966436

Do not purchase the SPSS student version.  It is limited in what it can do.

5) If you are working for a professor who does not have SPSS, you may be able to ask them
to purchase it from UTS for $10.
