2012 Relay for Life
Whether it's a friend, family member, colleague, or neighbor down the street, we all know someone who has been affected by cancer. Many of us are concerned about this disease and want to do something to make a difference. That's why the Division of Student Affairs is taking part in the American Cancer Society FIU Relay For Life®. This event brings together the whole community and helps raise funds for the fight against this disease. The 2011 FIU Relay raised $96,000 and the Student Affairs team was one of the top fundraisers!! Let’s do it again for 2012!
The 2012 FIU Relay for Life is Friday March 2nd – Saturday March 3rd on Palm Avenue in front of the Ryder Business Building. Relay is an overnight event BUT, you DON’T have to stay up all night to support the cause. We need folks to fundraise (in person and online), decorate our team tent, find sponsors, set-up, clean up and just stop by to cheer on the team. There is something for everyone to do.
The Relay theme this year is “Superheroes...ordinary people by day, cancer fighters by night.” The Student Affairs team has appropriately chosen “Superman” for our team inspiration.
Our team goal is $5,000 so take a moment to show your “super” qualities by joining the Student Affairs team today!
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Vanessa Vazquez at 7-7495 or email@example.com
