Career Services Hosted Career Fairs at Biscayne Bay and Modesto Maidique Campus

The Career Services Office hosted a Career Fair at the Biscayne Bay Campus on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. It was yet another occasion for our students and alumni to access jobs and internships.

Attendees had the chance to apply for jobs and some have begun to receive interview appointments. The Career Fair was also an excellent opportunity for our students and alumni to network with numerous employers including the Biltmore Hotel, Family Central Inc., City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department and the U.S. Department of State.

Career Services hosted its semi-annual Career Fair at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus in early February. The event was held in the U.S. Century Bank Arena which came alive with a buzz of activity as over 1000 students and alumni met with representatives from more than 70 companies.

Student participants had the opportunity to meet employers and gained valuable information with which to navigate the turbulent waters of today’s job market. It was also an occasion at which employers showcased their companies to our students and had the chance to choose from the best of FIU’s students and alumni. Employers’ feedback was that they were extremely satisfied with the attendance and the level of professionalism of our students and alumni.
