The U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education encourages schools and other institutions around the U.S. and the world to celebrate International Education Week each November to raise awareness of the importance of international exchange and to better prepare our students to become global citizens.
This year at FIU’s University Park campus, several offices and student groups have teamed up to organize a wide variety of activities for this special week, such as lectures, panel presentations, information sessions and interactive displays, foreign films, and cultural performances.
Some of the highlights and their sponsors include:
International Careers & Internships Panel - Career Services
Study Abroad Student Panel - Office of Education Abroad
International Business Etiquette - Office of Education Abroad
International Coffee Hour with International Trivia - International Student & Scholar Services
International Women Leaders Expo - Women’s Center
Greek Cultural Night - International Student Club
The final schedule will be available soon on the International Student & Scholar Services website and will be posted in the Graham Center.
