Florida Collegiate Programming Expo a Success

The annual Florida Collegiate Programming Expo is a statewide conference where students, faculty and staff from higher education institutions within the state of Florida meet to witness the latest innovations in novelty acts, entertainment, game shows, musical performances, as well as speakers, comedians, poets and promotional items.

The event was held on June 15 at FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus. The event attended by over 200 individuals representing 28 colleges and universities in addition to 16 showcases and two hosts. Besides the three FIU campuses, other colleges and universities present the day of the event included Barry University, Broward College, Florida Atlantic University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida Memorial University, Miami-Dade College, Nova Southeastern University, and University of Miami.
Showcases and performances included famed hypnotist Tom Deluca; dance show by Salsatronics; Latin reggae band Xperimento; male solo artist Drew Vision; indie rock band Chasing Jonah; female solo artist Erin Sparks; comedy act by the Good, the Bad, and the Sloppy; and guitar and saxophone duo Kaleigh Baker.

The Office of Campus Life at the Biscayne Bay Campus organized the annual Florida Collegiate Programming Expo in collaboration with many other FIU departments who help support the event.
