Miami Foundation Award

The Office of Multicultural Programs and Services received a one-year $2500 grant from the Miami Foundation’s GLBT Community Projects Fund to assist with LGBT programming aimed at addressing the needs of LGBT students at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay campus. It will also provide programs that bring awareness and education on LGBT issues and concerns, such as Safe Zone trainings and events held during Pride Week. The grant period starts October 1, 2012 and ends September 30, 2013.

The Office of Multicultural Programs and Services receives a one-time grant of $2000 from Target through their Campus Mini Grant initiative to assist with the cost of Speakers for the 2013 MLK Breakfast Celebration. The keynote speaker for the 2013 MLK Breakfast will be Dr. Mary Frances Berry, author, historian, professor and civil rights leader.
