The Staff Development Committee recently launched the first New Professionals Group. The purpose of the group is to provide ongoing development and networking opportunities to those who are new to working in Student Affairs. Through monthly meetings, a "common reading" and intentional use of the Student Affairs Professional Competency Model, members of the cohort will develop their skills as professionals and have the chance to network with others in the Division.

The group is scheduled to meet monthly throughout the academic year. The sessions will each be facilitated by a senior level administrator in the Division, who will talk about their own professional journey and lead discussion on the reading for that month.
