Bowling Green State University Exchange Scheduled for March

The BSGU/FIU Graduate Student Exchange Program was initiated by Dr. Carolyn Palmer, Higher Education Student Affairs Faculty Member at Bowling Green and Dr. Helen Ellison, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. The program began in 2004 when BGSU sent its first cohort of 16 students to FIU, only to return the offer in spring of 2005 when they welcomed FIU to their campus. This spring will mark the seventh year of the program. BGSU Students will again have the opportunity to experience the culture of FIU March 6 – 12.

During this week, students will complete a 30-hour practicum in an office of their choice and be supervised by a full-time professional in that area. Ultimately, this opportunity is about enhancing graduate students’ multicultural competencies as they prepares for full-time work in Higher Education and Student Affairs.
