This past year, Jamelyn Andrews was recognized with one of the Division’s Distinguished Performance Awards for Customer Service.

The Customer Service Award recognizes an individual who always demonstrates professionalism by serving the needs of the University community. This individual takes the extra step to ensure that all students/clients feel important and welcome, and that expectation’s are not only met, but exceeded.

As Program Assistant of Guest Relations in the Wolfe University Center at BBC, Jamie has been assisting FIU students, internal departments and the public community since 2005. She does a wonderful job representing FIU to the outside community with her emphasis on consistent customer service when making reservations for the WUC’s meeting spaces.  One member of the community recently expressed how fortunate she was to work with Jamie,    because the patience and detail required her to work on her request was more than most people would have shown. 
Jamie’s nominator described her as a smiling, cheery, friendly and patient customer service professional, who greets every guest or colleague of the university with a welcome. Jamie has a reputation for being approachable and friendly, as well as prompt, efficient, and professional.
