This past fall, Dr. Beverly Dalrymple was recognized with one of the Division’s Distinguished Performance Awards for being Supervisor of the Year.

Supervisor of the Year Award
The Supervisor of the Year Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates excellent supervisory skills, is fair and ethical, and encourages the development of staff. This individual has the ability to listen to all points of view and is able to make fair decisions.

Dr. Dalrymple serves FIU as the Director of the Center for Leadership and Service, a position she has been in for 9 years. Prior to that, Dr. Dalrymple worked in FIU’s Career Services for 15 years. Dr. Dalrymple was nominated by several members of her staff, all of whom agreed that they could not ask for a better supervisor. One of her nominators described Dr. Dalrymple’s supervisory style as being “transformational” and another said, “Beverly inspires us to seek out new initiatives and opportunities. Her team comes first and she values our contributions.” In addition to her inspirational leadership, Dr. Dalrymple shows a passion for mentoring her staff and developing them into strong student affairs professionals.
