I am aware that the selection process for the participation in the TIRES program during the academic year 2003-2004 includes an interview and adequate proficiency in the language of instruction, and that I am required to attend a pre-departure orientation program.

Students who receive mobility grants are expected to stay the entire academic year. If, for some reason, a student is not able to do so, a portion of mobility grant must be repaid. The schedule for repayment is as follows:

Attending less than 2 months: 75 % of the grant must be repaid
Attending 2 to 4 months: 50 % of the grant must be repaid
Attending 5 to 7 months: 25 % of the grant must be repaid

Students are expected to fulfill all the requirements of the courses in which they enroll abroad. Failure to do so means that they will receive a grade of "Fail" for the course, and no credit will be received. Given the natures of classes taken as part of a course of study abroad, it will not be possible for faculty or staff at the student's home university to change the grade.

If accepted into the TIRES program, I authorize the release of my application materials to the university to which I am applying to attend. I certify that all statements on this application and in the accompanying materials are complete and accurate to the best of my ability.
