DESCRIPTION: Works with children to teach environmental awareness,
safety, self-esteem enhancement, and recycling.
OPPORTUNITIES: Spend one hour a week teaching children using the
EnviroCorps guide book and lesson plans.
HOURS NEEDED: M-F, 8:30am-2:30pm
COMMENTS: Must attend a two-hour orientation.

· Community-Based/Weekend Program
DESCRIPTION: Volunteer Big Brothers and Big Sisters meet with their
Littles at least twice a month for a 1-year commitment. Matches participate
in a variety of recreational, educational and cultural activities and
agency special events.

DESCRIPTION: Volunteers mentor a child one-to-one for one hour
a week at a local elementary school or after-school program. Volunteers
commit to one school year.

® Reach/Group Mentoring Program
DESCRIPTION: Volunteers participate in weekend group mentoring
services for children waiting to be matched. Volunteers and 12 waiting
Littles attend weekend recreational/educational activities throughout
the community and have a great time meeting one another. Minimum commitment
is 15 hours of service.
COMMENTS: Special orientation/trainings are required. Please call
for dates and times. It is necessary to RSVP to Mercy.
