DESCRIPTION: Numerous volunteer opportunities exist within the
park system of Broward County. Volunteers can work in environmental education,
exotic species removal, park information, and many other essential areas.

DESCRIPTION: Aims to reduce the stress/anxiety of the hospitalized
pediatric patients and families through various psychosocial interventions
such as: recreational programming, patient education, emotional support,
infant stimulation, special programs, etc.
OPPORTUNITIES: Needed to assist in the recreational play program,
reading to children, caring for babies through rocking, holding and feeding
and offering emotional support.
HOURS NEEDED: 8:00am-8:00pm, everyday
COMMENTS: Minimum six month commitment. Must love to work with
kids.

OPPORTUNITIES: Meals on Wheels driver volunteers meet at one of
26 stations across the county to deliver frozen meal packages to homebound
seniors. Volunteers also meet at local senior/community centers across
the country to serve hot lunches.
