DESCRIPTION: Part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, providing a host
of vocational and job training programs. Other programs include a large
ESOL (English as a second language) program; basic skill classes; high
school/GED programs; and computer/business classes.
OPPORTUNITIES: Tutors are needed in all areas, especially ESOL and math.
Assistance in childcare is also needed.
HOURS NEEDED: 8:15 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Friday
COMMENTS: They ask for a minimum commitment of 1 hour a week for 10 weeks,
plus attendance at a brief orientation/training session. Mr. Cambridge
will match you with a class depending on your schedule and needs.

DESCRIPTION: We are an inner-city private Catholic School in the Overtown
area teaching grades pre-K - 8th grade. We are a non-profit organization
although students do pay tuition. Many families receive support from Miami
Inner City Angels, which provides 3-year school vouchers.
HOURS NEEDED: Weekly after-school tutoring, Monday - Thursday from 2:40pm
- 4:15pm. A minimum commitment of 12-13 weeks is required. We can be flexible.
